Model/actress Hamidah Ihsan Ahmad was born in Evanston, IL. She is a former competitive figure skater starting at the age of six.
Her mother Onesta Norman, a former ballet dancer enrolled her in ice skating lessons as an after school activity. However; her natural talent for the sport was quickly discovered by one of the coaches at the local ice arena. Soon after being discovered, Hamidah began competing nationally/internationally and figure skating became an outlet for the very energetically free spirited young girl.
After graduating high school she retired her amateur status and began touring internationally with Disney On Ice, after two years on tour she became a principal performer for "High School Musical the Ice Tour." While on the road she was involved with organizations like Wednesday's Child, Children's Hospital, and Washington State School for the blind."
Along side her work with multiple organizations, Hamidah made appearances on "The Today Show," "Good Morning America," and "Disney 365." The variety of exposure in different outlets helped build her comfort in the public eye and became the foundation for her professional modeling/acting career.
After retiring from Disney On Ice, Hamidah returned home and signed with Stewart Talant Agency for print and on-camera.
Hamidah has been seen in multiple print ads that include Mercedes Benz, Reebok Crossfit, Coca - Cola, and McDonalds.
Her on-camera work includes national commercials for Samsung Electronics, BMO Harris bank, and Season 2 of Showtime's "The Chi."
When Hamidah's not working, she stays active with various activities such as; long boarding, snow boarding, skim boarding, and yoga. In addition to commuting to and from Calhan, Colorado working with her mom on their sustainable farm.
